The Bredo Credo: Hope springs eternal

by Dave Gibson

Trygve Bauge’s hope springs eternal in his efforts to bring his grandfather Bredo Morstøl back to life. Trygve has shelled out a cool two hundred thousand dollars pursuing his dream that some might consider wishful thinking and financial folly. After spending nearly four years at Trans Time Cryonics Facility in San Leandro, California, immersed in liquid nitrogen and the last twenty-four years frozen above Nederland in a solid carbon dioxide-packed sarcophagus inside a Tuff Shed, Bredo’s corpse appears to be no closer to resurrection. Even though he will more than likely never walk the earth again, Frozen Dead Guy Days (the annual festival created in Bredo Morstøl’s honor) lives on.
